Importance of Inclusive Philanthropy | Madhavi Doki | Philanthropy/Community Involvement
Inclusive philanthropy is a charitable model that emphasizes helping underserved groups. It may require more than one institution or just one organization, including private and state cash for different types of needs (such as food relief). Many charitable groups and organizations today are working to combat the challenges that face several underserved people. Here is the importance of inclusive philanthropy
1. Helping the People Who Need It Most
The United States citizens receive little or no financial aid from the federal government. But it does help by its tax contributions, which can be a substantial amount if used responsibly and wisely. In fact, nonprofit groups have been making charitable donations to cover much of these needs for some time now, helping out in all areas in the United States, including food, health care, and housing.
2. Solving Problems at Their Source
Inclusive philanthropy can target the problems by going directly to their source. This is how inclusive philanthropy can help those who need it most, especially those who do not have the correct resources to get the help they need. Funding and efforts are focused on those things that keep groups of people from reaching their potential, whether in education or through lack of decent housing or health care services.
3. Does Not Need Major Funding or Political Support
Because it focuses on helping out those who need it most, inclusive philanthropy does not need to be pushed through by large organizations with a good network of supporters. It is easy to promote, requires little funding, and can be put into action when people come together to help out one another.
4. Focusing On Holistic Services
Inclusive philanthropy can help out groups of people who require all different types of care, including the emotional aspect of things. If a person or family is stuck in a situation where they do not have enough to eat or are sick and unable to afford proper medical care, they may be just as concerned about these emotional aspects or social needs as they are about their own physical needs. An effective inclusive philanthropy program can cover all of these needs.
